Hi all.
I am urgently seeking advice about treatment of white spot. I have looked through various forums & am now quite confused Rolling Eyes
I have 3 x fantails, 3 x black moors, 1 x plec & 1 x catfish. I noticed yesterday that the fantails & black moors were spending a lot of time just lying on the bottom of the tank. So I have obviously been keeping a close eye on them. I have just noticed that 2 of the black moors & 2 of the fantails have white spot. 1 fantail being the worst affected.
As this is a coldwater tank it would not be possible to raise the temp, it is currently 75 degrees.
I just want to know the best way to proceed now. I would be very grateful for any advice Confused
Thankyou for reading

first of all, you should separate the infected fish immediately, have some kind of plastic container to put the fish in (icecream box or something) unless you have a quarentine tank to put them in, and change all of the water making sure you add all the water cleaners to it.
there is a treatment for it, called RID ICH which you could add to the infected fish. you can easily get it from ebay, or probably where you bought your fish from. it also might be a good idea to add some to the water of the uninfected fish, as it could spread to them it just hasnt developed yet.

hopefully that should work Smile
